Education and information sharing is at the heart of better wellbeing and longevity outcomes for those living with CF. There are almost no opportunities, however, in the Cystic Fibrosis community for lay people and health professionals to interact in conference in Australia.
Recognising the need to enable the transfer of knowledge and experience and to advance a greater understanding of life and living with Cystic Fibrosis between these groups - particularly in the rural regional context - this year we have extended the traditional reach of our biennial conference to include health professionals and researchers as well as CFV family members. As a result our conference has moved to a more substantial information sharing and community engagement event with three streams (Family, Health Professional and Research), exhibitors, and renowned speakers and the fantastic NAB Academy at 800 Bourke Street, Docklands. We are grateful to our sponsor NAB for making this possible.
